Cosmetic Surgery

As we see the increasing trends we get confused about our looks. So people who are becoming all the time more conscious about their looks turn towards altering their features. But the question is does it make them look prettier? We shall see some popular case studies in order to make our decision on whether we are perfect the way we are or we should satisfy our anxiety about this matter by going through procedures.
Cosmetic surgery is concerned with the correction, restoration or enhancement of the body. But in this article we shall only discuss the facial surgeries that people opt in order to look attractive than they already are. There are many types of cosmetic surgeries nose job, face lifting, Botox, fillers, cheek implants and face augmentation. People go through these processes in order to look attractive and confident than others. It has become leaning for distressed people. Cosmetic surgery is growing to be popular in a developing country like Pakistan. Middle aged men and women in industry are turning to have their facial features altered through different processes.

The increasingly performed cosmetic surgery is Nose surgery, but of course like other cosmetic surgeries this is also not only very expensive but may prove to ruin the natural beauty of your face. It is popular in reshaping the nose and maintains balance in facial features. The cost price for rhinoplasty (also known as nose job) ranges from more or less Rs. 150,000 to Rs. 300,000. The prices depend on the type of anaesthesia that is applied during surgery. The price of general anaesthesia is more than the local one. Costumers are allowed to choose wisely on which type of anaesthesia they want.
Another type of cosmetic surgery which is mounting in Pakistan is Botox (face lifting). Botox is a nonsurgical therapy that can make a notable difference in softening and virtually eradicating deep furrows and creases between your eye brows, grooves on your forehead, and crow's feet around your eyes. This is also an expensive treatment with the price range of Rs. 250,000 to 400,000. Surgeons with more skills and proficiency might cost higher than the price mentioned.

A beautiful and younger looking face is the wish and dream of everyone around the globe despite of any race or colour. Everybody wants to look younger; aging might cause them to think about the various treatments for making them look youthful and refreshing. The most popular and easy for such people is a non-surgical treatment. People undergoing this type of surgery have to stay in hospital for 1 to 2 days under supervision of professionals in case of any sign of allergy on skin.
In Pakistan according to a survey 89% of the cosmetic procedures are carried on women and only 11% are carried on Men which show that women are more unsatisfied with their features than men.
According to a scientific research after cosmetic surgery the attractiveness of a person is increased by 0.08 on a scale of 1 to 10. When we ponder over the facts of how expensive and insignificant the surgery is we conclude that 0.08 is nothing worthy. Getting confused about being “hot or not” urges people to undergo such surgeries. When society ignores and discourages persons because of their looks, they lose self-confidence and turns towards artificial way of looking better than they originally are. No one can stop the natural phenomena of aging but making it slower is now possible, which is in fact a blessing to worried souls.

Every surgical procedure has certain risks so as cosmetic surgery. There are many notorious stories which reveal the hidden dangers of cosmetic surgeries.  The main risks of aesthetic plastic surgery operations are refusal of implants, sensory change in or around the operation area, decolourisation of the skin, tissue necrosis, asymmetry, infection, formation of bad scar tissue, and allergic reactions to the anaesthetic. In order to reduce the percentage of any risk, it’s sensible to go for very experienced and qualified surgeon.

As we all are very well familiar with the legend Michael Jackson (singer) and his obsession for the cosmetic surgeries. We can witness how his complexion and facial features changed by having surgeries over and over with the passage of time. Like many other patients Michael Jackson sought to hide his cosmetic surgeries from public. He lost the innocence of his face by enduring several nose jobs, cheek implants and putting cleft in his chin. Jackson even tried to reverse the impact of surgeries by using various fillers on his nose but all in vain, because once it is done it is done and the effect cannot be reversed in any way.  In an interview Jackson claimed that “I don’t want to be who I am, it hurts me”. This shows that no matter how famous or lovable a person is by the world, achieving an inner satisfaction is pretty hard and tough.

Another case that is gaining popularity among people is Bruce Jenner’s obsession for plastic surgeries. According to news Bruce hates his appearance and he wants to modify his facial features. He went through many nose jobs and face lifts. Bruce Jenner got a cosmetic procedure done in front of the audience. He had even abridged the extra fat from his eyelids. It seems that Bruce is struggling to regain his youth because he was a good looking man to begin with. His family is non-supportive of his obsession and they say that Bruce won’t listen to them.

Coming to Pakistani television industry we witness many faces who have undertaken the risk of altering their facial features.

Many actresses are beautiful in the way they are but as they lose the youth and freshness of their face, they lose getting jobs. Prominent among them are Fizza Ali, Sadia Imam, Bushra Ansari, Hadiqa Qiyani and Mona Liza. Their surgeries did not prove favourable to them. Instead it increased loathe to plastic surgery by many people.

Sadia Imam has done several nose jobs, cheek implants and lips augmentation which has made her face look stiff and she is facing hard times in making facial expressions. Mona Liza had lip augmentation, but in fact her lips look swollen like a duck. The upper and lower lip is of the same size which looks unnatural.

Sometimes it is best to leave your face untouched and unaltered. This article has been written to make sure that you already know all the consequences of plastic surgery before you decide of having one. The mission is to guide you in achieving your goals of looking your best.
